Oh my goodness!!! Best food ever! I can't wait to go back. Way too full to eat dessert but they sounded amazing. Chocolate fudge cake with toasted marshmallow ice cream and maple popcorn sundae. We always enjoy our visits to Acme. The food is tops. We had brunch which included southern treats like grits, pulled pork, fried green tomatoes, and bloody Marys. Familiar yet we'll executed.
Another fine experience at Acme. Excellent lobster chowder (special offering) and wedge salad. Gumbo was a little light on seafood, thus the four stars. Competent wait staff. We'll be back.
So disappointed. We've been here several times and liked the food. We're locals and we feel like we aren't welcome back. They acknowledged they did a poor job getting our food to us. We were the second table to arrive and the last to leave. We waited 90 minutes for our food to arrive. Every table that arrived after us had eaten and left before we got our food. We complained and they said, "not to put the blame on you but you should have told us you were in a hurry." We said we weren't in a hurry, but 2 hours is a ridiculous amount of time for a meal. Especially when much larger tables ate and left before we got our meal. I worked as a server for 10 years, there is no excuse for this. We didn't need monetary compensation. We would have been perfectly happy with an, "I'm sorry, we had a problem in the kitchen." Instead, they blamed it on us.
