Awesome Service...Dr.Gissell Corbie - Smith, Thank you...

Dr. Carol Klein is a wonderful doctor. However, in spite of my efforts to enlighten her, the nurse supervisor was unable to verify the existence of the CVS Pharmacy which is around the corner from me, and which I have been using for years. Thus, a needed prescription was not sent there, but to a pharmacy which was inaccessible to me. This is very poor.

This is a review for the dental clinic. I scheduled my niece for an appointment because it was the only place nearby that took her insurance. The woman who made the appointment suggested I arrive a half hour early to register my niece at the clinic. When we arrived , the woman who was working at the front desk of the dental clinic was very rude and unprofessional. The worker informed me that the appointment had been taken off because they were unable to confirm the appointment the day prior. She told me the clinic had called but received no answer on my phone. When I told her I had not received a message indicating such, she went on to say," well, we don't leave messages." At this point, I asked how I was supposed to know I was expected to confirm the appointment. She said I should have known (somehow). This procedure was never explained to me. As I told the worker, had I known, I would have called myself to confirm. Anyways, the worker went on at length to argue with me about this, and then went on to the back to see if the doctor would "squeeze us in." At this point, I was not enthusiastic about having my niece treated there and, the clinic did not appear clean, at least from what I could tell in the lobby. Given the unprofessional staff and dirty appearance of the facility, I decided to take my niece elsewhere. My niece is in an unfortunate situation where she must receive Medicaid and few providers take this insurance. However, if you are in the same situation as her, I recommend Friendly Dental in Durham as they take almost all insurance providers. It is worth the drive to see a real dentist and receive care given with common decency. It is unfortunate that so many people must depend on clinics such as Carrboro Community Health. Good luck navigating our healthcare system.
